The National Guard held a family picnic this past weekend. The kids had a blast playing on the helicopters and jeeps ... but it was ridiculously hot outside.

Happy Birthday Grandma Amert and Laura!
We spent the weekend at my mom's house celebrating her birthday. We spent some quality time outdoors around the fire and camping out. My sister took this picture of my Mom last year, but I am posting it on our blog in honor of Mom's birthday.
My siblings and I restored my Mom's childhood doll, Laura, for a birthday present. It was such a rewarding project! Here she is on my Mom's dresser. You can see baby pictures of me and my siblings in the reflection of her mirror.

Soccer Camp
Ethan participated in Upward Soccer Camp this summer. It was the best camp of the season! He came home with many trophies and new skills.
Roman and Kate were NOT interested in soccer, but had so much fun at the playground nearby. Roman made many friends. Kate pushed down poor defenseless children.
